About our 2025 Pop-Up
Our pop-up shop started with a simple idea: what if and why not? It’s a collaboration between Sam Slater from The Portland Darkroom and a wild idea from Anthony Georgis of the Portland Camera Club.
We wanted to create a space that’s all about photography, something casual, welcoming, and rooted in community. Thanks to a grant from the 2025 PDX Pop-Up Program, that dream is turning into reality with a brick-and-mortar shop at 832 SW 4th Avenue in downtown Portland with a limited run this November and December.
We’re not calling it a gallery because it’s more than that. We want photography to feel open and accessible, a place where anyone can walk in, see something inspiring, and feel connected.
The Portland Darkroom x Portland Camera Club Pop-Up will be alive and always changing, with limited-edition prints, collaborations, and community events. Come by, hang out, and be part of it. We can’t wait to see what we create together.
